To everyone who loves having birds around the house

They will come to your yard, without a doubt. One or two feeders filled with well-chosen seed, and just a little patience while the birds discover this well-stocked table.

Most people who feed birds at their feeders stop when summer arrives. Why? In the spring, when migration picks up, the larger birds take over the feeders and push the smaller ones to the back of the line. Even so, we believe there is no reason to ration the birds this way.

It all starts with the feeders. If the grackles can easily cling to your feeders and eat their fill, then it is better to discourage them by putting everything away. Unless the feeders are hung inside a seed-catcher screen

For the birds that love thistle, however, it is another matter. The perches are so short that only small birds can settle on them.
